ve created Arnett Law Office in January 2006, initially as a solo practice.  Prior to the formation of Arnett Law Office Steve had been a partner in Hulette & Arnett, and prior to that he was an associate and later partner in the firm Ruark, Hulette & Arnett.  Steve's practice is primarily personal injury and civil litigation, in addition to criminal representation, estate planning, will and trusts, real estate and contract litigation. 

Steve is a 1980 graduate of the University of Louisville Law School.  He was a Master Scholar in Delta Theta Phi a national legal fraternity, and served as President of U of L Student Bar Association from 1978 – 1979.  Steve got his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in 1977.  Steve has lived in Morganfield for over thirty years.


Christopher M Stearns
Divorce, Custody, Domestic Relations, Civil Litigation

 Chris joined Arnett Law Office in 2011 as an associate.  His practice area primarily focuses on domestic relations issues, including divorce and child custody.  Chris also serves as a guardian ad litem or court appointed counsel in the Fifth Judicial District's Dependency, Neglect, and Abuse docket.  In addition, Chris assists the Union and Webster District courts in civil guardianship actions for disabled persons.

Chris graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2010, and also received his MBA and undergraduate degrees from the University of Kentucky.  Prior to becoming an attorney he worked for several years at Vectren Corporation, in southwestern Indiana.  He was honored to serve as law clerk for Franklin County Family Court Judge Squire Williams III from 2010 to 2011.  Chris grew up in Robards and now lives in Henderson with his family.
